Best Actress 2025 Urban X Awards As the first Black performer to win AVN's Performer of the Year award (2023), Kira Noir holds a special place in porn history. For all her impressive industry achievements, though, Noir maintains a friendly, unpretentious demeanor, defined by an appealing candor. When contemplating her popularity in a 2022 interview, she joked, "Thank you all for jerking off to me!" Born in California but raised mostly in Nashville, Noir was a self-described nerd in high school. She opened up sexually when she began work as an exotic dancer. After seeing adult superstar Bonnie Rotten perform in 2014, Noir realized that porn stardom was her ultimate calling. "It finally clicked in my head that that's what I want to do. I want to do porn.
